A Touch of Frost

We had some "ice fog" the last couple of days...or at least that what Jeff calls it. I was driving down the highway the other day, and it was foggy out, but it also had rain in it too. So, the fog would hit my windsheild and then turn instantly to ice because of the speed. I had to stop every 15 minutes and scrape the windows. The heater was of little help. However, the "ice fog" created some beautiful winter portraits.
I have to admit that I secretly love snow and especially when there's a lot of it like in a blizzard, not so much for driving, but because it's just a great day to stay inside, cuddle in a ton of blankets, drink hot chocolate and watch movies. Snow days are the best!
I'm not sure if "ice fog" can qualify as a snow day, but I watched movies anyway, just in case it did :)

So this is my 16 year old sister-in-law, Rebecca. She's been wanting to do some portraits in the winter, and it always seemed so cold or just didn't work out. So after school on Friday, I was driving her home, and we decided to stop at Henderson Park. The "ice fog" left everything so beautiful, that portraits worked out really well. Plus I love her hair color and she's such a beautiful girl, she really catches attention against all the white. I think I'm now a fan of winter portraits!
